No word if it means an end to expensive COVID tests to enter Canada
Canada's Health Minister telling reporters yesterday an announcement on changes to the preventative COVID measures at the border will be coming in the next few days.
Jean-Yves Duclos did not give any specifics.
Border mayors, business and tourism groups have been asking Ottawa to drop the demand anyone entering Canada at the land borders provide proof of a negative molecular COVID test.
The test can cost up to $300, making a day trip across the border too expensive to justify for most visitors.
The U.S. does not have the same requirement for travellers.
