MP from Manitoba takes the helm for now
The federal Tories have chosen a new path forward, one without Erin O'Toole at the party's helm.
Following a vote yesterday afternoon to remove O'Toole as party leader, the Conservative caucus then voted Manitoba MP Candice Bergen to take up the reins on an interim basis.
MP's and party members now once again find themselves trying to find a new permanent leader.
As for what it will take to bring everyone together, Alberta MP Ron Liepert says "It's going to be a bloody tough job.”
