Falls to light up in orange on Thursday for Orange Shirt Day and National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Niagara Falls will mark the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation by lighting up in orange.
The illumination will also mark Orange Shirt Day.
On Thursday, the Falls will light up for 15 minutes at the bottom of every hour from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Earlier this year, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation was established to recognize the tragic history of Canada's residential school system.
September 30th is also Orange Shirt Day, a day to honour the kids who survived residential schools and remember those who didn't.
