Niagara Regional Council has voted to extend Niagara's temporary face-covering by-law.
It was set to expire on April 1st.
The by-law requires masks to be worn in all enclosed public spaces in the region in accordance with provincial orders.
It will expires when provincial requirements are no longer in effect.
Residents are reminded that there are exemptions to the rule for people who can't wear a mask due to disability under the Human Rights Code.
No one is required to provide proof of an exemption.
