Erie County restaurants in orange zones will be allowed to offer indoor dining at 50 percent capacity.
The Erie County Department of Health announced today that yellow zone criteria will be applied to food service facilities in orange zones.
This comes after New York State Supreme Court Justice Henry J. Nowak made a preliminary injunction on Thursday.
It allowed 90 restaurants that sued the state to offer indoor dining under yellow zone guidelines.
The injunction will remain in effect until Tuesday, when Nowak will decide whether or not to make the ruling permanent.
Yellow zone restrictions in the state stipulate that restaurants can have a maximum of 4 people per table and at least 6 feet between table.
