Vehicle hit a pole, then crashed into a medical building
A man in his 80s is in hospital following a collision in St. Catharines.
Around 1:30 yesterday afternoon, emergency crews were called to the area of Vine Street South and Welland Avenue.
Police say a blue Mitsubishi was traveling southbound on Vine Street South, when it lost control and hit a pole.
It then hit a medical building.
The driver was taken to an out of region hospital.
His injuries are considered serious but non life threatening.
Police say the damage to the building is around $50,000.
No charges have been laid, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
