The DSBN is preparing for the upcoming lockdown.
The school board has sent a letter to all parents so they know what to expect next month.
It says all elementary schools will be closed the week of January 4th and in-person learning is scheduled to resume on January 11th.
Elementary teachers will e-mail parents about online learning opportunities starting January 4th and parents are being encouraged to contact their child's school on the 4th if they need a device for their child to use.
All high school students will be learning online from January 4th to the 22nd and they should be back in the classroom on the 25th depending on their schedule.
The DSBN says principals should be communicating more information with parents starting next week.
All of Ontario will be going into lockdown this Saturday.
