UPDATE: March 22nd, 11:30 a.m.
Police say the shelter in place has ended and Allanport Road has re-opened.
Original Story
The battle continues for emergency crews in fighting a fire in Thorold.
They were called yesterday afternoon to a recycling centre on Allanport Road.
There were no injuries.
Niagara police say the fire department is dealing with wind that's causing drifting smoke, and everyone within a 2km radius of the fire is asked to keep windows closed and stay indoors.
This is a developing story, and we'll provide more information as more details are released.
