Police made the arrests after investigating, earlier this month, an alleged case in a Welland home
Two people from Welland are facing child sexual abuse charges after an investigation by Niagara Regional police.
Early this month, police started looking into an alleged case that happened in a Welland home.
As a result, police arrested and have charged 26-year old James Turner with:
- Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 Years of Age
- Sexual Interference with a Person Under 16 Years of Age
- Invitation to Sexual Touching a Person Under 16 Years of Age
- Criminal Harassment
They've also charged 30-year old Amanda Fobert with:
- Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 Years of Age
- Sexual Interference with a Person Under 16 Years of Age
- Invitation to Sexual Touching a Person Under 16 Years of Age
The two accused remain in custody, waiting for a bail hearing tomorrow in St. Catharines.
Police believe there may be more victims.
