A local activist has filed a complaint with the Ontario Ombudsman.
DSBN trustee Kate Baggott was suspended this weeks board meeting, after her fellow trustees accused her of violating their code of conduct.
She had responded to a parent's concerns about discipline in school.
A Better Niagara Executive Director Ed Smith called the Ombudsman's office this week.
He says she shouldn't have been barred from the meeting, adding the people of St. Catharines and Niagara-on-the-Lake were not properly represented.
