The Coldest Night of the Year is coming up in Niagara Falls.

Project SHARE will be hosting it on Saturday February 22nd this year.

It's a 2km, 5km or 10km walk, starting and ending outside St. Paul Catholic High School.

Registration starts at 4:00 p.m. followed by the opening ceremonies at 5:00 p.m. and the walk at 5:15 p.m.

You can pay the $25 registration fee the day of, or collect donations in advance.

Director of Community Engagement Pam Sharp says all of the money raised will help the homeless, hungry or hurting in our community.

"All proceeds from the event are used for Project SHARE to provide emergency services like food, homelessness prevention and an abundance of other services that we provide for our neighbours in need."

Sharp says this is one of their largest fundraisers of the year.

"This event is really crucial for us to continue to meet the need of 126 families every single day who are less fortunate in our community."

The fundraising goal is set at $25,000 this year.

You can register, donate and find more information online here.
