A city-owned property in downtown St. Catharines, will be converted into affordable housing.
City Council decided the surplus the building on Academy Street Monday night, after Councillor Karrie Porter made the motion.
It will go out for a request for proposals early next year.
The single-story brick building currently houses fire prevention staff, but they will be moved to another city-owned facility.
