Police believe man was victim of a hit and run
In the Statement, city officials say they are aware of the police investigation into a fatality that occurred at or near the Morrison Street/Dorchester Transit Hub and staff are fully cooperating with the NRP. Mayor Jim Diodati adding “I was saddened to hear about this tragic incident and my heart goes out to all those involved”.
Police were called to the transit hub yesterday morning just before 6:00 after a critically injured man was found lying on the roadway.
EMS were unable to resuscitate the man, believed to be in his 50's or 60's.
Police say the circumstances remain under investigation with evidence at the scene suggesting the man may have been the victim of a hit and run.
