A return to Toronto may be in store for the Blue Jays.
Canada's Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Howard Njoo says the teams return to Canada is "trending in a very good direction."
Njoo says while he can't provide a date on when an announcement will be made, there has been "a lot of good back and forth" between government officials and the team's organization.
Meanwhile, a government official told the Associated Press that the Jays won't know before the weekend if Ottawa will permit them to return to the Rogers Centre.
