Lots of people have been cooling off at Nickel Beach during this heat wave.
The city has decided to implement a few changes in response and they will begin this Friday.
You'll have to use the Lake Road entrance and more parking will be available on Lake Road for convenience.
You'll also be able to spot more garbage cans and law enforcement officers on site.
Only Port Colborne residents will be able to purchase a season pass and they can be used Monday to Thursday.
Season pass holders will still have to pay the admission fee they want to visit the beach on a weekend.
The beach will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Thursdays.
It will open from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends on holidays, but the first hour will be reserved for residents only.
The city will post Nickel Beach capacity updates on its social media pages.
