Some changes are coming to the traffic flow through the Thorold tunnel.
The Standard reports new signage indicates approaches to the tunnel will be reduced to one lane in both directions starting on January first until March 31st.
Construction in the south tube is expected to be finished in April and then the north tunnel will be closed for similar maintenance.
The tunnel sees an estimated 24,300 vehicles pass through every day.
