Another group of teachers in Niagara is one step closer to a strike.
The Ontario Catholic Teachers' Association has voted 97 per cent in favour of a strike, if negotiations with the government break down.
The union representing high school teachers is in legal strike position as of Monday.
But, they need to give five-days' notice before action is taken.
Elementary teachers will be in legal strike position as of November 25th.
Those two boards have asked for conciliation, trying to bridge the gap in talks with the government.
One of the biggest sticking points is the new law capping wage increases at one per cent, despite union calls for a cost of living increase near two per cent per year.
