For more than 4,000 workers in Niagara Falls, it's some unwelcome news.
Health Minister Christine Elliot announced yesterday that Ontario will be holding steady for at least a month and not loosening restrictions any further.
The move comes as COVID-19 cases slowly rise across the province and the kids head back to school.
This means capacity restrictions at Casino Niagara and Fallsview are likely to stay at 50 people, which is keeping the Region's largest employer closed.
Casinos are allowed to reopen under Stage 3 guidelines, but rules on capacity and not allowing table games are keeping them shuttered for now.
Thousands of people in Niagara Falls have been laid off from the casinos for about six months.
