Governor General approves PM's request to dissolve Parliament
It's official, Canadians are going to the polls September 20th.
Governor General Mary Simon has approved Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's request triggering the issuing of the election writs.
The campaign will last 36 days, the minimum allowed by law.
