Much of Western New York remains under state of emergency.
As Western New York continues to get pummeled with snow, a state of emergency and travel ban remain in effect for Erie County.
According to the National Weather Service, some areas have received over six feet of snow.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul has activated the National Guard to help with snow removal in some areas, including Orchard Park, Hamburg and Evans.
A travel ban has been issued for Buffalo, as well as several other areas.
Many officials say the storm is life-threatening, with Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz confirming two deaths related to shoveling.
Poloncarz also says to date, about 300 citations have been issued so far to people who have violated travel bans.
The storm is expected to last throughout the weekend.
