Researchers from Brock University are getting over $655,000 to support their projects.
The money comes from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada's Insight Development Program.
The funds will support 11 early stage research projects in health and social sciences, humanities and business.
The topics range from women entrepreneurs to oral language and readings skills to substance use across different sexual orientations in Canada.
The program provides funding for short-term research projects up to two years.
