Pair arrested after vehicle with license plates reported stolen discovered.
A man and a woman from Niagara are facing drug and theft charges following an incident in Brantford.
Officers say on Friday, a vehicle with license plates reported stolen was found in a convenience store parking lot at the intersection of Colborne Street and Park Avenue.
The suspects were arrested as they left the store.
A search turned up an unspecified amount of cash as well as 23 grams of suspected fentanyl, 5 grams suspected cocaine and 7 grams of suspected crystal meth.
Facing charges are 34 year old Evan Garret Besner of Thorold and 29 year old Ashley Anne Mulligan of Niagara Falls.
Besner has been charged with trafficking, possession of stolen property, breach of probation and driving while under suspension.
Mulligan has also been charged with trafficking and possession of stolen property.
