The St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre will offer special tours of it's North Star exhibit, for Black History Month.
They will be every Thursday and Saturday next month.
The exhibit highlights the contributions of black Canadians in Niagara and across the rest of the country.
The guided tours will start at 10:00 a.m. and they should take about an hour.
The museum will also offer screenings of the documentary Risking Everything: A Story of Niagara’s Freedom Seekers.
They will start at 11:00 a.m. every Saturday, after the guided tours.
The documentary tells the story of the African-Americans who escaped slave states and crossed the Niagara River into Canada before the U.S. Civil War.
Admission will be by donation.
