NIagara posts a total of 28 new cases over the weekend
Health officials reporting 722 new cases today, more than the 689 new infections reported yesterday.
It's the highest number of cases in a day since June 5th.
A year ago today there were 108 reported cases.
564 of today's infections were in non vaccinated people or those whose vaccine status is unknown.
Closer to home, Niagara Public Health reported 19 new cases Saturday and 9 today.
To date just over 64 percent of Niagarans are now doubled dosed.
