Facilities management staff at Brock University set to strike on Monday if deal is not reached
Brock University and CUPE Local 1295 will head to the mediation table tomorrow, in hopes of averting a strike.
The union, which represents custodians, groundskeepers and skilled tradespeople working at the school, have voted in favour of a strike mandate.
If no new deal is reached by Monday, workers will be in a legal strike position.
The union says it's asking for a 3.75 percent pay bump in response to soaring inflation.
Brock has offered a 2.5 percent raise.
