He had a gun, but there were no injuries.

Niagara regional police say on Friday the Halton police force arrested 54-year old Stephane Smith, and handed him over to Niagara police the next day.

He faces a number of charges.

  • Robbery with a firearm
  • Uttering threats
  • Possession of firearm, weapon or ammunition contrary to prohibition order

Police add he remains in custody, after a bail hearing, with a future court date scheduled.

Following the robbery, police said in a statement he was considered armed and dangerous, and not to approach him.
