Ontario legislature resumes today
The Ontario legislature resumes today for the start of a new session.
It's the first sitting since the Doug Ford Tories won a second majority government in June.
The throne speech is tomorrow, followed by the reintroduction of the budget which is expected to have a few changes including an increase to disability funding.
Ford is expected to acknowledge the health care and economic inflation, but it's unclear if any new measures will be introduced in the throne speech and the budget.
The legislature's first order of business is electing a Speaker, with two Tories vying for the job.
