Arrests Made in Grimsby Shooting

5 people from Hamilton had bail hearings on day of arrest

Five people from Hamilton, ranging in age from 20 to 31, have been arrested in relation to that shooting on South Service Road, near Kelson Road, in Grimsby.

It was late September when police were called to find a man had been shot, suffering serious but non life threatening injuries.

On Friday, police searched a Clyde Street address in the Wentworth and Cannon Street East area of Hamilton, and found:

• Shotgun
• 9mm handgun (loaded)
• MP5 automatic gun
• A loaded extended magazine
• 2 oz of suspected fentanyl
• 1 oz of suspected crack cocaine
• $1850 Canadian Currency

Jawad RABBANI, 25 yrs of Hamilton, ON, is charged with.

• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
• Carrying a Concealed Weapon
• Pointing a Firearm
• Discharging a Firearm with Intent to Wound, Endanger Life or Prevent Arrest
• Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
• Aggravated Assault 
• Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence
• 3 counts of Possession of a Restricted or Prohibited Firearm Without Holding a Licence 
• 3 counts of Possession of a Restricted or Prohibited Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a Licence
• 3 counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon or Prohibited Device
• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
• 2 counts of Failing to Comply with Release Order
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl)

Shamaree SALMON, 31 yrs of Hamilton, ON, is charged with.

Samantha MCPHEE, 27 yrs of Hamilton, ON, is charged with.

• 3 counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon or Prohibited Device
