An anonymous donor has donated $2,500 to Port Cares.
They’re also calling other members of the community to step up during the COVID-19 crisis.
If the Reach Out Centre receives more than $20,000 in donations by the end of the month, the donor will provide another $2,500.
This would increase their total contribution to $5,000.
Executive Director Christine Clark Lefleur says they don’t receive any form of government funding, so their food bank, meal program and crisis services would not be possible without fundraising and donations.
About 1,400 people use the food bank.
Donations can through e-transfer to donations@portcares.ca.
You can also mail a cheque to Port Cares at 92 Charlotte Street, Port Colborne, L3K 3E1.
