Annamie Paul says she will end her party membership.
Green Party Leader Annamie Paul has resigned from her post.
Paul announced today that she sent in a formal resignation as leader of the party today, and she'll also end her membership with the Greens.
On Sept. 27 I began the process of stepping down as Green Party of Canada Leader. Today I sent formal notice of my resignation to the GPC. I will also be ending my membership in the GPC.

It was an honour to work for the people of Canada and I look forward to serving in new ways.
Paul announced her intention to step down in September following the federal election.
The Greens only won seats in two ridings, and Paul didn't win her Toronto riding.
