This latest reminder from Peel region police
Another reminder from police, this time in Peel region, that 9-1-1 is for emergencies only.
This after someone called asking for the phone number of a local bank.
The force shared a recording of the call on X, alongside statistics on 9-1-1 calls.
It says its operators received as many as 71,000 calls a month last year, and close to half of them were hang-ups or misuse.
