A small increase in new COVID-19 infections in Niagara.
Niagara Region Public Health is confirming 33 new cases of COVID-19 today.
The death toll remains at 428, and there are seven patients battling the virus within Niagara Health.
Niagara Health says three of the patients are in the ICU, and only one of the seven individuals has received both jabs.
Throughout Niagara, there are 273 active cases and 11 active outbreaks.
Over 690,000 vaccinations have been administered in the region.
About 74.6 percent of local residents have their first shot, and 69 percent have both.
