Niagara Region Public Health is reporting 27 new COVID-19 cases today.
There are eleven patients with the virus in local hospitals, and two are in the ICU.
Niagara Health says six of the patients are unvaccinated.
Throughout the region, there are 12 active outbreaks and 247 active cases.
St. Catharines, Fort Erie and Niagara Falls are reporting the most active cases.
More than 735,000 vaccinations have been administered.
About 77.3 percent of local residents have one shot, and 74.4 percent have two.
