Twenty-two tickets issued as part of commercial vehicle safety blitz.
Police continue their crackdown on commercial motor vehicles in Lincoln and West Lincoln.
The NRP teamed up with the OPP, the Ministry of Transportation, the Town of Lincoln and Halton Regional Police for Operation Nuts and Bolts.
The initiative was created to identify commercial vehicles intentionally bypassing the Vineland Inspection Station, and to conduct inspections to ensure road safety standards are being met.
On Tuesday, over 200 vehicles were directed into the station.
Forty inspections took place, and 26 vehicles were removed from the highway.
Police issued 22 tickets, seized ten license plates and conducted two breathalyzer tests.
