Councillor Ruth Ann Nieuwesteeg clarified with Planner Mackenzie Ceci that potential noise complaints have been dealt with since it's near Washington Mills, in an industrial area.
However, Councillor Lori Lococo was the only vote against, concerned with proximity to Washington Mills.
"Within the provisions, there's a holding provision, and there will be warning clauses on titles, so when people buy it, they will understand they are close. It's not just noise, there are other environmental concerns from industrial... it could be dust."
She adds Washington Mills expressed concerns about the project.
