Police say the pickup left the road, hit a tree, and caught fire in West Lincoln

Tragedy in West Lincoln following a single vehicle crash over the weekend.

Niagara police say they were called to the Caister Gainsborough Townline Road and Sixteen road area early Sunday morning, to find a pickup truck had left the road, hit a tree and caught fire.

They say the 18-year old man from West Lincoln was pronounced dead at the scene, and out of respect for the family, his name is not being released.

Police are still investigating.
