118 New COVID Cases in Niagara

Niagara Public Health is reporting 118 new cases of COVID-19.

The death toll is steady at 376.

Nineteen people remain in local hospitals with the virus.

The region has 16 confirmed cases of the variant initially discovered in the U.K.

An additional 488 cases are being investigated after variants were detected.

There are 937 active cases and 31 active outbreaks.

Welland has 238 active cases, St. Catharines has 220 and Niagara Falls has 155.

The province is reporting 4227 new cases today.

There are 1218 new cases in Toronto, 762 in Peel, 532 in York Region, 247 in Durham and 246 in Ottawa.
