Show Your Ride - Charity Car Show

I am helping organize a charity car show hosted by O’Hara Family Farm’s. This car show will be hosted on our families farm at 1497 St Paul Street West in St Catharines on July 15, 2023 between 10am to 3pm. Our team works hard to support and bring awareness to Type 1 Diabetes. This year our efforts are going to an organization called ‘I Challenge Diabetes’. I Challenge Diabetes is a Registered Canadian Charity offering support programs for youth, families and adults living with Type 1 Diabetes. Their mission is to connect, empower and support through mentorship and challenging programs. Together, they will apply strategies to overcome obstacles and grow to take ownership for one’s individual health.

The reason why O’Hara Family Farm’s has chosen to bring more awareness and efforts to Type 1 Diabetes is because of my son Grady. Grady was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on July 6, 2021 at 7 years old. During the time of being diagnosed and understanding what Type 1 Diabetes was we were surrounded by a huge and supportive community. Grady has overcome great obstacles and has shown our family what great things can be accomplished through diagnosis. Our objective is to bring awareness and share Grady’s and others stories on the strength that this community has.

We will be hosting a silent auction during the car show to help raise funds and continue to bring awareness. As well having vendors to shop.
