Women's Place of South Niagara Gets a Makeover

Women's Place of South Niagara will now move forward under a new name.

At the agency's first Brunch, Bid and Bowl fundraiser in three years on Saturday it was announced the new name as Birchway Niagara, also with a new logo.

Agency Executive Director Jennifer Gauthier said it was more than just a name change because the organization is evolving in ways that are more inclusive.

Much of the work Birchway will do will continue to focus on protecting women and children impacted by violence in the community.

The agency hopes that by increasing its focus on community-wide engagement, prevention and awareness, it will make the community safer for everyone.
