Winter Storm Watch Continues for Niagara Region

Weather office says 20 - 30 cm of snow possible between tomorrow and Friday morning.

Environment Canada is tracking what it is calling the sister of the January 17th storm.

The system coming up from Texas  is expected to start as rain tonight then transition to white, fluffy snow tomorrow afternoon.

The weather office says areas near Lake Erie will see rain showers change to snow tomorrow evening.

While the January 17th storm was fast and furious, the current system will see between 20 and 30 cm of snow fall by Friday morning.

But the storm watch warns of the possibility of rapidly accumulating snow in some locales which could impact driving conditions.

At this point there is some uncertainty the track the storm will take and how much snow it will dump on us.
