U.S. Declares State of Emergency Over Monkeypox

Over 6,000 monkeypox cases in the United States to date.

The Biden Administration has declared a state of emergency over the growing outbreak of monkeypox in the United States. 

Biden's health secretary says the virus poses a significant risk to Americans. 

The declaration allows the federal government to amp up its response to the virus. 

The country has over 6,000 reported cases. 

Here in Canada, there are just under 900 reported cases, with the highest numbers in Ontario and Quebec.
