Town of Pelham Approves Splash Pad Project

Centennial Park in Fenwick will be getting a splash pad.

Town of Pelham council members have given the project the go-ahead, and some of the funds will come from the ICIP COVID-19 Resilience Fund.

The remainder of the $350,000 cost will come from the Development Charges revenue.

For years, the splash pad has been a request at the Budget Open House, since most communities in Niagara already have one.

Splash pads have become popular, since they are deemed safer than "baby pools" and they have fun interactive features.

In addition, a separate grant submission has been made for a splash pad at the Marlene Stewart Streit Park.
