Thousands of Ontarians Impacted in Vaccine Data Breach

Province says the personal information of about 360,000 people was involved in a vaccine database breach over a year ago

The Ontario government says the personal information of thousands of people was involved in a breach of its vaccine database.

Officials say the breach occurred on November 16th, 2021, and involved the personal information about about 360,000 people.

OPP have charged two people, including an employee of the province's vaccine contact centre.

The individuals affected should get notices today.

The government says for about 95 percent of those affected, only their names and phone numbers were involved.
