The Town of Fort Erie has declared a State of Emergency in the municipality.

There have been significant power outages across Fort Erie. In some cases, emergency first responders like police fire, and EMS are physically unable to respond to calls. Hazards on the roadways include downed trees and powerlines, drifting snow, flooding and abandoned vehicles. If you are at home without power, please do what you can to conserve heat, help friends, family and neighbours where it is safe to do so. Please be careful when using alternate heating sources ensuring that you have a working CO2 detector as death can occur.

The Fort Erie Fire Dept asks that you stay home. Travel has become extremely hazardous and it is not safe to drive. If you are having an emergency call 911.

DO NOT drive around barricades, they have been placed in areas that are high risk to protect the public.
