St. Catharines Passes Operating Budget for Next Year

If you live in St. Catharines, you'll be paying more on your taxes next year.

The city has passed its operating budget for next year, including nearly $120-million to fund things like fire services, public transit and park maintenance.
Mayor Walter Sendzik says the budget delivers these key services, while also investing in strategies to address climate change, social issues and aging infrastructure.
The city's portion of the tax bill will go up almost four per cent.
This means an extra $60 a year for the average homeowner.
