St. Catharines Open House to Highlight Proposed Changes to Community Improvement Plan

The City of St. Catharines is looking for input, on proposed changes to it's Community Improvement Plan.

The most recent plan was approved back in 2015.

It included five financial incentive programs, to encourage new investment in the private sector.

The programs helped property owners foot the bill for redevelopment projects, brownfield remediation, facade improvements and residential or office conversion projects.

But the Garden City has evolved since then. Renewal objectives now centre around affordable housing, heritage preservation, the redevelopment of aging plazas, and mixed-use development, in addition to brownfield remediation.

An open house will be taking place at City Hall on Thursday December 12th. Everything will get started at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers.
