A St. Catharines family is looking to raise $3-million, so their one-year-old daughter can receive a life-changing medical treatment in the United States.

Lennon Ferri was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 1 when she was four-months old. She has to receive Spinraza injections through a lumbar puncture every four-months to survive.

The FDA recently approved a new drug in the United States, which only requires a one-time dose through IV.

But Zolgensma also comes with a hefty price tag of $2.125-million USD.
