In response to concerns surrounding the Omicron variant, Niagara College will temporarily move some classes online.

Niagara College is making some changes to the start of the winter term.

In a release, the school says until January 28th, some program elements will be moved to remote/online delivery, at which point, the college will reassess.

Practical labs and essential elements will continue to be delivered on-campus, with health and safety measures in place, including personal protective equipment where physical distancing can't be maintained.

Co-ops will continue, depending on guidance from employers.

The college will provide students with information on timetable changes in the coming days.

Officials say that campuses, including eateries, study spaces and common areas, are expected to remain open for the start of the Winter Term.
