Slight Tax Increase for Thorold Residents

Thorold City Council has passed the 2021 Operating and Capital budgets.

Residents will face a property tax increase of 1.8 percent as per the budget. 

This means that on the City General portion of the tax bill, the average home valued at $258,800 will see an estimated added impact of $23.76.

The overall tax bill will see an increase of about $47.16, including City, Region, Education and Hospital portions of the bill. 

Other items on the budget include the revitalization of the Battle of Beaverdams Park.
