Shaw Festival Delays Start of Season

Due to the pandemic, the Shaw Festival is delaying the start of the 2021 season.

The season is now slated to begin in early July.

Performances of "Charley's Aunt" will begin on July 7th under a canopied stage set at Shaw Festival gardens.

As restrictions ease up, it's expected to move back to the Royal George Theatre's stage in August.

On July 29th, puppetry piece "A Short History of Niagara" will begin showings on Festival grounds.

The Shaw plans to allow indoor audiences when it's safe for reduced capacity performances of "Flush" at the Royal George Theatre and "Sherlock Holmes and The Raven's Curse" at the Festival Theatre.

"Flush" performances start on July 8th, and "Sherlock Holmes" gets its start July 23rd.

Box office staff will contact affected ticket holders to discuss options.

Customers with concerns about their tickets can call the box office at 1-800-511-7429 or email boxoffice@shawfest.com.
